OnBoarding Officers is an accelerated non-executive training programme established to help exiting Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers realise the new and exciting opportunities of civilian life by further developing their skills to become board members of UK organisations.
The programme’s London launch was held on Thursday 31st January 2019 at the prestigious Central Hall Westminster, who were sponsoring the event along with KUDOS.
OnBoarding Officers has received tremendous support to date, with organisations championing the programme including; the Officers’ Association, The Army and Navy Club, Clarke Willmott LLP, Central Hall Westminster and KUDOS.
Jo Haigh, CEO of FDS, Founder and course tutor of OnBoarding Officers comments:
“It was a fantastic evening, with huge thanks to Central Hall Westminster and KUDOs for providing an amazing space and service for our official launch in London.
We are overwhelmed with the substantial and positive support that we have received from the military sector. Our initiative is much more than a training programme; we are focussed on building a supportive community for our delegates.”
The programme is supported by the Officers’ Association, which works with serving and former officers as they transition into civilian employment. Lee Holloway, Chief Executive Officer said:
“The OA recognises that military leaders have the skills, breadth of experience and personal qualities to perform at board level. It is our ambition to see businesses take advantage of this hidden talent pool and recruit more former military personnel to their boards.
By supporting this exciting NED programme, we’re aiming to provide a pathway to make this happen.”
